#Repost @krissharv3y (@get_repost) @bakelikeapro ・・・ In an earlier post, I thanked the people at my current job for helping me reach my goals and getting me on the #toptenpastrychefs list for 2017. But my career hasn't been just four years. It's taken nearly 27 years to get to this point. I've never thought of it in terms of time. In other words, I didn't think I'd say, ""let's see where I am at and if I am satisified, I'll call it a career." There's so much more to learn, to refine and create in this trade. I'd tell my younger self and anyone doing this to learn from the people you admire. For the most part, they are the masters. And attempt something that you know you can't do. You may be able to make perfect tart shells over and over. But if you aren't good at chocolate and are afraid to attempt it, that's the universe telling you that your destiny is calling. You should care more about the things that you know you are poor at (I promise you that your boss doesn't dwell on what you're good at. He only dwells on what you aren't good at!). It's only food. You are not performing in front of Julius Caesar. If you screw it up, you start over.
