With master chocolatier @krissharv3y Hey there 👋🏽. Everyone is struggling with the fear and worry about Covid-19. Obviously, I am not a medical professional but I do know that Covid-19 is a virus and not a food born illness. I’ve encountered many people recently that are in a frenzy based on fear and lack of knowledge. But this is good time to tell you what we do @and.sons to insure your safety on a daily basis. Just like all car accidents are caused by humans and not the car, you can assume that food is safe to eat unless it’s mishandled by a human. This is the safest kitchen I I’ve ever worked in simply because we do not crack eggs or fabricate animals. Before we open our kitchen, we use a mutiquat sanitizer on all surfaces including door handles, table tops, cooking apparatuses and thermometers. Tools are never allowed on any work surface. There is always paper between the surface and the tool. We never use cloth towels; only single use paper towels are allowed. Hand washing is detailed and repeated dozens of times a day. Outside packages are only allowed in to the kitchen for a few minutes. They are placed on parchment paper to protect the surfaces and then emptied in @cambromfg containers before the boxes are quickly removed for recycling. We don’t want to bring in anything from the outside. We close the kitchen nightly by sanitizing the surfaces and we do so throughout the day. We aren’t in a panic here because we are proactive in protecting our guests and the integrity of this family owned, second generation business. I hope that you’ll apply these techniques to your home kitchen and bathrooms and make these best practices routine habits as we have done here.
